Curbside Recycling
Hernando County citizens with trash service also have weekly curbside recycling collection included in their service. Curbside recycling is collected with a two-bin system where residents sort cardboard and paper in one bin and rigid plastic containers, aluminum and tin in a second bin. Please note that our recycling program does NOT include glass or plastic bags.
If you currently subscribe to curbside trash service through Republic Services, once per week curbside Recycling is included in your serviceΒ at no additional cost.
On your pickup day, place all of your paper and cardboard in one bin and aluminum, tin and rigid plastic containers in the second bin. Place the bins curbside before 6 a.m. on your service day.
Curbside recycling is a great opportunity to help yourself, your community and the environment.
