Municipal Service Benefit Unit Projects

A special assessment district as established in Hernando County is commonly referred to as a MSBU (Municipal Service Benefit Unit). Through the MSBU Program, non-ad valorem tax assessments are levied by the Board of County Commissioners to provide a funding mechanism for a variety of services and improvements.

05/18/2026: Vote did not pass.

The Oaks Traffic Calming Closed

9/12/25: Application received  requesting speed humps on Lawrence St

3/18/26: Vote cards sent out. Vote cards due back on 4/30/26.
