Hernando County’s Private Provider Program offers contractors and property owners an alternative to traditional County plan review and inspection services.

Under Florida Statute 553.791, registered contractors may use qualified third-party providers for plan reviews and/or inspections to help streamline project timelines.

Submitting Private Provider Documents

Registered contractors and private provider services should use the Contractor Portal to upload all Private Provider documentation, including:

When uploading, select “Private Provider” under Document Type for all permits except Single Family Residence applications. For Single Family Residence permits, use the dedicated upload option and select the “Private Provider” option within that application.
