Anderson Snow Master Plan
The Hernando County Planning Department, in partnership with a team from Florida State University (FSU), is working to develop a master plan for improving Anderson Snow Park, located at 1360 Anderson Snow Road in Spring Hill.
The Anderson Snow Master Plan will provide Hernando County with a path toward making the most of the park’s existing assets as well as upgrading and expanding it over time to achieve the community’s vision for the park.

FAQs
How is the Anderson Snow Park master planning process being funded?
How long will the master planning process take?
Hernando County is currently in the process of developing the master plan
- The review of the existing parks facilities was completed and submitted to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity for review on February 28, 2020. It was approved on March 20, 2020.
- The needs analysis, including feedback from the stakeholder workshops and community survey, is due to Florida Department of Economic Opportunity on April 30, 2020
- The master plan will be compiled and presented to the BOCC prior to May 30, 2020

How will the amenities and improvements proposed in the plan be funded?
The Anderson Snow Master Plan will identify amenities for the park established through the community outreach process including rough cost estimates. Once the master plan is completed, the master plan can be used to develop an implementation plan based on community priorities and available funding. The master plan is a long-term vision for the park over the next 10 to 15 years.
Specific conceptual designs will be placed on the Anderson Snow website for community feedback over the next few weeks. Once that feedback is received, the final designs will be developed with associated cost estimates.
