MPO Notice: Notice of 30-Day Public Review Period of the Draft Hernando-Citrus MPO Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) FY2027-FY2028 will begin on April 3, 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the thirty-day (30) public review period for the Hernando-Citrus Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) for Fiscal Year 2027 – Fiscal Year 2028 will begin on April 3, 2026.  The draft UPWP may be viewed online at www.HernandoCitrusMPO.us on or before April 3, 2026, and will also be available in our office at 789 Providence Boulevard, Brooksville, Florida, 34601.

Any questions or comments can be directed to the MPO staff by phone at 352-754-4082, email mpo@hernandocounty.us, or regular mail correspondence at the address above.  The public is encouraged to review and provide comments.

The UPWP will be scheduled for review and approval by the MPO Board at a public hearing on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at the Brooksville City Council Chambers, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, Florida.

Any person who decides to appeal any decision made by the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Board with regard to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, said person will need a record of the proceeding, and that, for such purpose, said person may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based, Section 286.0105 F.S.
