(Brooksville, FL) – Hernando County Housing and Supportive Services will host acommunity support event for residents experiencing homelessness on Tuesday, January 27,2026. Meals will be provided on-site, along with free bags containing essential toiletries.

Residents without housing are invited to visit any of the following locations to receive mealsand supplies:

• People Helping People- 1396 Kass Circle, Spring Hill, Florida
  Resources are available from 7:00am to 2:00pm.
• NAMI Hernando- 4030 Commercial Wy., Spring Hill, Florida
  Resources are available from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
• Elks Lodge- 210 E Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Brooksville, Florida
  Resources are available from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
• Hernando Mentorship Empowerment - 209 Ponce De Leon Blvd., Brooksville, Florida
  Resources are available from 1:00pm to 5:00pm

Transportation Information:

Transportation directly to the event locations will not be provided; however, Hernando CountyTransit Services (TheBus) will operate on its regular routes. For route information, visitwww.HernandoCounty.us/living-here/transit-thebus.

Point In Time (PIT) Count:

During the event, Hernando County Housing and Supportive Services will record the totalnumber of individuals attending. The Point In Time (PIT) Count will help secure federalfunding to support programs and resources aimed at addressing homelessness in HernandoCounty.
