Hernando County Invites Public to Share Input on Chapter 10 Community Appearance Regulations Town Hall and Community Roundtable Set for Thursday, August 20, 2026
(Brooksville, FL) β Hernando County invites residents, property owners, builders, community organizations, and other interested parties to participate in a town hall and community roundtable discussion regarding the proposed Chapter 10 rewrite for the Community Appearance Regulations.
Participants may attend in person or virtually.

The proposed ordinance would repeal and replace the current Chapter 10 with updated standards addressing landscaping, tree preservation and protection, buffers, land clearing, irrigation, invasive plant species, fences, and related administrative and enforcement procedures. The rewrite is intended to provide clearer, more consistent standards while supporting responsible growth, environmental stewardship, property rights, and Hernando County's community character.
