Hernando County Housing and Supportive Services Announces Requests for Application for Hernando County Opioid Settlement Program

Housing & Supportive Services (HSS) is announcing that applications are being accepted for the 2026 Hernando County Opioid Settlement Program implemented and managed by Hernando County beginning March 20, 2026, until April 20, 2026, at 5:00pm.

Applications will be available online at www.hernandocounty.us/living-here/housingsupportive-services/grants or at Hernando Housing and Supportive Services, 621 West Jefferson Street, Brooksville, FL 34601.

Applications must be submitted online to the following email: HousingandSupportiveServices@hernandocounty.us.

Hernando County receives Opioid settlement funds resulting from its participation in litigation with the State of Florida Attorney General’s Office and others seeking to hold many of the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain participants accountable for damages from the opioid crisis.

To address the negative impacts of the opioid crisis in Hernando County, Hernando County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is requesting agencies with a vested interest in the reduction of Opioid misuse by Hernando County residents to submit an application addressing prevention, treatment and/or recovery efforts to combat opioid usage, consequences, and stigma in the community.

Amount Available for Funding: 600,000

The grant amount may be divided among multiple selected applicants or granted to only one applicant. The county at its sole discretion reserves the right to set each award amount based on project, funding, and cost feasibility. Partial awards may be offered depending on funding availability. Indirect administrative costs are not eligible.
