(Brooksville, FL) – Hernando County Government will offer free standard-size automobile tire disposal at the Main Landfill, the West Hernando Convenience Center, and the East Hernando Convenience Center throughout November to help reduce mosquito breeding sites in unused tires.

Hernando County citizens may drop off up to eight standard-size automobile tires without rims per household for free during the month of November. Citizens must provide identification to verify Hernando County residency when dropping off their tires.
