Who Are We?
The Hernando County Housing Authority was created by the Hernando County Board of County Commissioners on May 3,1977 with the adoption of resolution #77-32. The Housing Authority has a five member board of commissioners who are appointed by the Governor of the State of Florida.
The Hernando County Housing Authority is committed to advocating and ensuring the provision of adequate affordable housing for Hernando County citizens, especially those with very-low, low and moderate incomes, so that Hernando County will have strong, diverse and viable communities.
