Permitting System Upgrade Notice
Hernando County is transitioning to the new Tyler Enterprise Permitting & Licensing System. Temporary modified operations will be in place from February 10 through March 2, 2026, and online services will be unavailable. Beginning on Tuesday February 10, 2026, the Building Division will be operating with modified lobby hours for staff training on the Tyler Enterprise Permitting and Licensing Software.
The temporary hours are as follows:
| Monday | 7:30am - 3:30pm |
| Tuesday | 8:30am - 3:30pm |
| Wednesday | 7:30am - 3:30pm |
| Thursday | 8:30am - 3:30pm |
| Friday | 7:30am - 3:30pm |

Permit Application Status and Property Search
Permit Application Portal
Use the "Permit Application Status and Property Search Portal" link above to access current permit information and property records. (Temporarily unavailable beginning February 10th, see notice above.)
Through this online portal, citizens and contractors can:
- View current permit statuses
- Search and review property history (by owner’s name, address, key number, or parcel IDs.
- View contractor information (by name, business, or license number)

Note The Building Division’s current parcel and permit information website will be disabled and replaced with the new customer interface. |
Submitting Permit Applications
Paper permit applications are accepted:
- In person at the Building Division office
- Via drop box located in the lobby
- 789 Providence Boulevard

Private Provider Program
If you are interested in a modified turnaround time for your project, you may participate in Hernando County’s Private Provider Program.
