As the Department transitions to new software that will allow for online payments, the contractor self-issuance permit process will be modified.

Effective immediately:

• • No new escrow accounts may be opened at this time.

  • Existing active escrow account holders may continue to use funds through close of business Friday January 23rd.

Contractors previously registered will still have access to the self-issuance tab on their portal. Upon submitting the application, the contractor will receive a message with the assigned application number.

Building Division staff will be notified of the application submittal and will contact the applicant for payment using the contact information on the contractor’s file. Once the payment has been processed and permit issued, the permit card will be available in the contractor’s portal. 

Any funds not utilized by close of business on January 23 will be submitted for refund in accordance with applicable financial procedures.
