EOC Alert 2 - Severe Weather Potential

CURRENT SITUATION

A strong cold front is approaching the area this afternoon. Strong and breezy south to southwest winds will occur today ahead of the front. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory and a Coastal Flood Advisory for Hernando County. Wind gusts of 30-45 mph are likely today through this evening ahead of the squall line. High tides up to 2 feet above ground level are expected throughout the day today and into the early morning hours tomorrow.
