CURRENT SITUATION

A cold front will move through the region later today and tonight with the front moving south of the region on Wednesday. In the wake of the front colder and drier air will move into the region on a blustery northerly wind flow with the coldest temperatures expected Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

Temperatures are expected to drop into the lower to mid 30s across interior sections of the Nature Coast. The cold temperatures combined with north winds around 10 mph will create wind chill values in the upper 20s to around 30 across the Nature Coast during the early morning hours on Thursday.

As this is the first significant period of cold weather this year, please take this opportunity to refresh your cold weather preparations, plans and supplies.
