Applicants sought for Airport Advisory Committee
The Hernando County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is accepting applications from individuals wishing to serve on the newly created Hernando County Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport Advisory Committee (AAC), pursuant to Ordinance 2018-17 adopted on September 25, 2018. The purpose of the AAC standing committee is to assist and make recommendations to the BOCC on matters pertaining to the Airport.
The AAC will consist of seven voluntary, non-paid members. Five members shall be appointed and serve at the discretion of the BOCC and two members shall be appointed and serve at the discretion of the county administrator. The AAC members will serve staggered four-year terms. The AAC will hold public meetings six times a year at the Hernando County Government Center, located at 20 N. Main St. in Brooksville, in the John Law Ayers County Commissioner Chambers.
All applicants must be residents and registered voters in Hernando County. In addition, applicants must have computer access and have a basic understanding of how to use a computer as all agenda packets and correspondences of the AAC will be prepared and distributed digitally. All members will be required to provide their own personal laptop for the meetings.

Applications must be dropped off or mailed to the County Administrator’s Office no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018.
