The Velocity Payment System and Hernando County Utilities Department
jointly administer and maintain this site in conjunction with the
Technology Services Department. We are committed to protecting the
privacy rights of our customers in Hernando County. These rights are
ensured through the Privacy Act, our Privacy Policy and other
Federal statutes. Any personal information you may provide, as part
of the Velocity Payment System Web site will be used only for
purposes described at the point of collection.
ONLINE PAYMENT INFORMATION For security purposes, you will be redirected to a secure Web site
where your payment will be processed. Payments made before midnight
will be posted to your account the following business day. Payments
made after midnight, weekend and/or holidays could take up to 72
hours to posted to your account. If you are making a payment on a
delinquent account, please contact our Customer Service Department
and make your payment with a Customer Representative.
The on-line payment validation only confirms
your transaction with the payment system and does not replace or
serve as a substitute for services to be restored.
You
must contact Customer Service if your account is delinquent.
WATER SERVICE AND BILLING INQUIRES For
questions regarding water usage, bill amount, or final water
reading, or delinquent accounts, call the Hernando County
Utilities Department Customer Service Division at 352-754-4037.
PAYMENT AND DISCONNECT POLICY Utility bills are due upon receipt and become past due 20 days
after the billing date. Failure to receive a bill does not prevent
service interruption or additional service charges. If this
statement shows a past due balance, it should be paid immediately to
avoid a late fee and possible interruption of service. If you
believe the past due amount has already been paid, please contact
Customer Service at (352) 754-4037
Monday-Thursday from
8:00AM - 4:30PM or Friday from 8:00AM - 4:00PM to
ensure payment has been applied to this account. Your service may be
disconnected for failure to pay the past due balance in full in a
timely manner. In order to restore service, all past due charges,
together with any fees, must be paid in full. A partial payment is
not sufficient to resume service unless satisfactory arrangements
have been made with our Collections Division in advance.
Disconnection may result in an additional deposit being required.
HOW TO MAKE A PAYMENT
Payments can only be made
with a MasterCard or Visa.
Have your account information with you. You
will need the service address and account number.
To conduct an on-line transaction, click on the
button below. A pop up box will indicate you are being linked to
a secure Web site.
At the Velocity Payment site, enter the required
information. When you are finished, click the Proceed
button. This will take you to a payment information screen.
At the payment information screen, confirm your
account information and enter credit card information. When you
are finished, click the Submit button. This will take
you to a receipt page. Print this page for your records!
At the top of the page are links back to our Web
site or you may click your home button in your browser to return
to your home page.
