Owner/Agent (Residential): Applications for New Service Accepted

Requests Made after 2:00 will be scheduled for the Next Business Day. Residential owners/agents are required to complete a service application
and include the following information.
* Valid Photo ID.
* Pay ANY previous balance owed on accounts in their name.
* Deposit - Deposits can be waived if you have a good payment history with
us.
* A copy of your current closing statement or deed, or any proof of ownership.
Application for Tenant/Renter:
Tenants/Renters are required to obtain written authorization from the
property owner to open a utility account. Application for Tenant/Renter
are required to complete a service application and include the following
information:
* Verification of a Valid Photo ID.
* Pay ANY previous balance owed on accounts in their name.
* A copy of your lease or a Tenant Authorization form.
Application for Commercial Account: Commercial accounts are required to provide company and owner information.
Existing commercial accounts where meters are already in place do not require
the fee calculation letter. In some instances, remodeling projects may require
additional connection fees.
* Completed Commercial Application for Service.
* Fee Calculation Letter (for new meters only).
* Property Appraiser Address Receipt (for new meters only).
* Check in the amount of quote for connection and hook-up fees.
Termination of Service All termination of service must be submitted in writing. Property sale,
seasonal and tenants may still be liable for account with out property notification.
Hernando County Utilities will also accept termination of service via fax
and/or our online form located at
contact.
Service Hauler: All users of the septic dump facility must complete a Hernando County
Utilities Septic Haulers Service Application and be licensed by the Department
of Health (DOH). Violation of any applicable provisions of Florida Statutes,
rules or regulations adopted there under, or any applicable provisions of
the Hernando County Code of Ordinances may result in suspension or revocation
of permit privileges, licenses and/or civil or criminal penalties. Only
materials from septic and port-o-lets can be processed at this facility.
