The Hernando County Port Authority is a five member board appointed by the Board of County Commissioners of Hernando County. Members are appointed for a period of four years.

The Hernando County Port Authority Board holds monthly meetings at the Hernando Beach Recreation Building, located at 6340 Shoal Line Blvd. Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend these informative meetings.
