Online Payment Information for
Auto (Vehicle) Renewals.
Please review the following info before making an on-line payment!
You will need the following items to complete your Auto (Vehicle)
Registration renewal transaction.
1. The Registration Renewal Notice for your Auto (Vehicle)
Note: These renewal notices are mailed out to owners approximately 3 weeks
prior to the month in which expiration occurs - If you have not received
your renewal notice at least 2 weeks prior to the expiration date, please
contact us by e-mail: tc@co.hernando.fl.us and include your name, address,
and tag/license plate number.

Insurance information, such as Florida Insurance Company (not agent), and
Policy Number.
3. This service is offered in conjunction with the Florida Department of
Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. When you click on the button below,
to start the transaction , you will be directed to the HSMV website. Any
questions related to the online renewal options should be directed to the
Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
Additional fees will be added to your
transaction as follows:
- $2.15 per license plate (applicable
when license plate is replaced)
Once a transaction has been processed through
the internet, the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles nor our
office are able to cancel the transaction.
Attention: Multiple renewal transactions can be processed with the on-line
service. Owners of more than one auto (vehicle), etc., should have more than
one registration renewal notice. In such instances, owners will be able to
renew all registration with one transaction.
