Pesticide
Applicator Training &
Certification
Pesticide applicators throughout
Florida must be in compliance with restricted and non-restricted pesticide laws, worker
protection standards, and other federally mandated programs. Extension, under joint
agreement with EPA, USDA, and state regulatory agencies, administers numerous training
and licensing programs. Pesticide exams given the first Monday
of every month. Call at least one week in advance to register. Pesticide Exam study
manuals are available at the Extension Office.
Extending
the University of Florida to other Government agencies and
the private sector
Throughout the year Extension
supports other agencies and organizations in need of research data and information.
Major activities include:

Conducting USDA agricultural
commodity referendums. |

Conducting federal and
state agricultural surveys and needs assessments. |
Responding to requests for
help and information from the Southwest Florida Water Management District, City of Brooksville,
private consulting firms, and Hernando County Government.
