Elgin Blvd (CR 572) Roadway Improvement Project
 PROJECT
SCOPE AND FUNDING
The project consists
of widening the roadway to four lanes, replacing water and sewer
lines and reconstructing driveways. Also, the addition of new
drainage pipe, drainage structures, drainage retention areas,
sidewalks and a 6' high vinyl fence from Mariner Boulevard to
the Progress Energy Power Easement.
The project will be funded by
impact fees and a Transportation Regional Incentive Program
(TRIP) grant from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
The County Board approved the Joint Participation Agreement with
FDOT for the TRIP grant on December 7, 2010. The project
contract was subsequently awarded to DAB Constructors, Inc., of
Inglis, Florida. The project is expected to take approximately
390 days to complete.
